Position Purpose: The purpose of this role is to discover, interpret, engage, and visualise the
compelling story behind the data to inform and support strategic decision
making related to research, academic and enterprise (in particular
providing analytical support for projects led by the Provost, Graduate
Research School, Centre for Education Transformation [including survey
visualisations and survey support] and Enterprise). This role will provide a
bridge between the language of the business and the language of data
science to unlock insights from the datasets and put findings into context.

About this area The Office of the Provost is responsible for the strategic leadership to the
University across the areas of research, learning and teaching, enterprise
and Pacific student success, in order to drive the development and
implementation of strategies, policies and standards that underpin the
delivery of quality research and teaching across the institution.

Conduct advanced • Understand how the University’s data is gathered, manipulated,
analytics on research, organised and reported across enterprise systems and over time, to be
academic and able to accurately extract data for specific KPI purposes. Investigate and
enterprise analyse data to support performance improvements and strategic
performance data initiatives and identify areas of strong performance along with areas of
concern.
- Design and manage monitoring reports and other analytical tools to
Provost portfolio. This involves working closely with the Provost
leadership team to determine reporting needs.
- Use quality tools and techniques to identify, analyse and visualise data

Qualifications and Experience
