Finance Business Partner

Are you looking to take your finance career to the next level? This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance business partner to work alongside our diverse business groups at Council. You will provide strategic and technical advice on a wide range of activities relating to Council's financial planning and reporting activities.
Key responsibilities:
- Working closely with cost centres to aid informed decision making.
- Preparation of budgets and meaningful monthly variance reporting for the cost centres.
- Maintenance and calculation of all development contributions accounts and charges.
- Coordination of effective cross departmental process for development contributions annual policy review.
- Providing advice to budget holders, including strategy and required finance/accounting training.
- Identifying and leading improvements to financial systems and management reporting.
If you are enthusiastic and forward-thinking, with good budgeting acumen and a strong ability to get the job done, then this may be the role for you.
You will also have:
- At least 7 years work experience working in a large corporate organisation managing multiple stakeholders
- A proven work record demonstrating the ability to carry out duties with minimal supervision to a high standard
- High level management accounting knowledge
- Strong financial modelling and spread sheeting skills
- Professional working knowledge in Microsoft based platforms, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook
