Fisheries Deckhand- Experienced. For our clients Macnicol Fishing Ltd -Based in Totra North
A number of full-time positions have become available for Deck Hands to serve on a medium-sized Long Line vessel for a 12-month period.
Normal deckhand duties also include setting and hauling of the lines, handling and unloading the catch, and cleaning duties for a Long Line vessel.
Experience of at least six months experience as a fisheries deckhand is essential
If you have NZ Deckhand Qualifications or equivalent that would be a definite advantage.
You will be out at sea for up to 6 days.
Start Date Late Mid November 2024.
The workplace and living areas are confined.
We operate on a strictly no violence, no abuse, and no aggressive behavior basis.
Remuneration will be based on experience and qualifications - depending on fishing results, remuneration is based on the traditional % of catch share system with a base hourly rate of $29.15 per hour .
Must be physically strong and fit, as there is some heavy lifting involved.
You must agree to both our random drug testing program and a limited criminal police clearance process.
New Zealand citizens or those now based in New Zealand only, please.
