Fisheries Deckhand and Skipper - Experienced deck crew and skipper for set netting and crayfish potting Vessel

A number of full-time positions have become available for Deck Hands and a skipper to serve on a medium-sized set netting and potting vessel for a 12-month period.
Normal deckhand duties also include setting and hauling of the set net , handling and unloading the catch, and cleaning duties .
Experience of at least six months experience as a fisheries deckhand is essential.
There is some heavy lifting involve so applicants must be physically strong
If you have NZ Deckhand Qualifications or equivalent that would be a definite advantage.
You will be out at sea for up to 10 days.
Start Date Mid to Late November 2024.
The workplace and living areas are confined.
We operate on a strictly no violence, no abuse, and no aggressive behaviour basis.
Remuneration will be based on experience and qualifications - depending on fishing results, remuneration is based on the traditional % of catch share system with a base rate of $29.15 fo rthe deckhand postion and negotiated catch share arrangement for the skippers position .
Must be physically strong and fit, as there is some heavy lifting involved.
You must agree to both our random drug testing program and a limited criminal police clearance process.
New Zealand citizens or those who have a legal right to work in New Zealand only, please.
