Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled Fitter Welder to join our dynamic team based on our client site in Kinleith. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fitting, with a focus on safety and quality. The Fitter Welder will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding metal parts and structures according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, technical proficiency, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabrication and Assembly: Fabricate and assemble metal components and structures according to blueprints and specifications.
- Welding: Perform various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding, ensuring strong and precise welds.
- Inspection: Inspect welded surfaces and structures to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Experience: Proven experience as a fitter welder in an industrial setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Certifications: Relevant qualification are a plus.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with welding and fitting.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility: Ability to work varying hours and adapt to changing schedules.
