Right now, we invite you to apply for an exciting full-time opportunity for Kaitakawaenga within our Tumanako Inpatient Unit and He Manu Pae Sub-Acute Unit.

About the role
At Tumanako Inpatient Unit and He Manu Pae Sub-Acute Unit we provide a full range of alcohol and drug and mental health services including assessment; group, family/whānau and individual interventions; hospital-based therapies to people with co-existing mental health, alcohol and other drug misuse addiction problems/disorders.
About you
Our ideal candidate will have experience working in Te Ao Maori and Te Ao Pakeha, working alongside tāngata whaiora and their whānau living with the effects of mental illness and addictions.
You will have the ability to communicate and advocate for tāngata whaiora and their whānau, collaborate effectively with other members of the team, and engage Māori in making choices that enhance their wellbeing.
A commitment to improving health outcomes for Māori, cultural safety, care quality, and providing cultural recommendations to improve well-being is desired.
The successful applicant will work alongside other kaimahi Māori within a supportive team environment of health professionals that is committed to delivering an excellent clinical and cultural service that reflects the needs of our tāngata whaiora and their whānau.
