Te Puni Kōkiri is the government's principal policy advisor on Māori wellbeing and development. We achieve strategic influence with a focus on providing high quality policy advice and holding other agencies to account for delivering public services to, for, and with Māori. This includes our mandate to promote Māori achievement in education, training, health and economic resource development along with performing our monitoring and mentoring roles.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced regional business analyst to join our Regions puni and drive success against Te Puni Kōkiri's priorities.
Te whai wāhitanga | The opportunity
An internal facing position, the Regional Business Analyst plays an important support role, providing business acumen across the Ikaroa-Rāwhiti rohe, while reporting to the Manager, Performance Support based in the National Office in Wellington. You will.
- Provide practical management of regional business and investment planning, budget and financial management processes
- Establish and maintain effective systems for reporting on the impacts of investments, and facilitation and brokerage across the rohe
- Be a channel for information into and out of regional offices as required
Mōu | About you
Trustworthy and reliable, you take pride in building strong, lasting relationships with other kaimahi and are agile in how you approach and manage your workload.
- Exceptional relationship management skills. Can quickly build in-person rapport with a range of stakeholders
- Successful experience operating within a Public Service environment and understanding the business cycles of core government
- Professional expertise in Business Administration or a supporting discipline
- Proficiency with Microsoft packages especially outlook, word, excel and Power Point
- Presentation skills and the personal credibility to be able to speak with authority on behalf Te Puni Kōkiri
- Strong knowledge and understanding of te ao Māori and are comfortable working in an environment where tikanga is observed
- A clean full motor vehicle driver's licence.
- A tertiary qualification in management or related discipline (Or studying towards qualification) is preferred
