  • Must be physically fit in order to undertake field work and lab preparation.
  • The ability to instruct students and staff in the operation of equipment and technical matters, providing demonstrations to students in a group or on an individual basis based on teaching requirements.
  • The successful candidate must be able to induct students and staff in the occupational health and safety requirements pertaining to the equipment and environments they will operate in, and to ensure compliance with any relevant legislation.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and deliver solutions to staff and students.

  • Must possess strong organisational and management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks and effective service delivery, particularly about planning and managing equipment and materials and maintenance of all relevant records and documentation.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ensure facilities and equipment are maintained in a clean and safe condition and that any issues identified are reported and rectified in accordance with Unitec Institute of Technology processes and Health and Safety requirements.
  • A willingness to contribute to equipment and infrastructure procurement, planning and implementation.
