Management Accountant - Electricity Network

Reporting to the Network Finance Business Partner, the role is varied and your responsibilities will include :
- Prepare budget/forecast templates for completion by budget holders and consolidate results
- Assist with the Group inputs for the Network Budget, Forecasts and 10-year plans
- Prepare supporting analysis for budgets/forecasts, identifying key drivers, risks and opportunities
- Support the business by providing financial analysis and information to allow them to drill into and increase their understanding of costs drivers and spend profiles
- Complete month end and year end processes to ensure a robust result, including certain journals and reconciliations
- Support the preparation of the regulatory reporting required by the Commerce Commission
- Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as reasonably required
This is a busy role with tight deadlines, it goes without saying you will be resilient and comfortable dealing with people at all levels. You will also have:
- Proven financial management experience and be either a CA or working towards the qualification
- Demonstrated experience in Excel and other Microsoft programmes
- Ability to build and strengthen strong interpersonal and collaborative working relationships
- Strong robust numerical and analytical skills and business acumen
- Experience working on ERP/MRP systems like SAP/JDE (preferable)
