We have an opportunity for a kaimahi to join our team as the Manager Regulatory Assurance within Regulatory Services, Operations Group. This will be either a fixed term or interagency secondment through till the 17th October 2025. This role will ideally be based in Wellington however, we will consider other Work Safe locations for the right person.
Not only will you manage a team of eight kaimahi with care and empathy, but you will need to always have your finger on the pulse as we enter a time of change where we will be delivering on our priority plans. Stakeholder management and key relationship building will be essential during this time.
Ō te tūranga - About the role
As the Manager Regulatory Assurance, you will lead a team that provides expert advice on regulatory best practice and operationalises Mahi Haumaru's regulatory functions, whilst overseeing quality assurances which supports the delivery of regulatory activities and services. This includes driving the implementation of changes in operational policy and coordinating the implementation of new regulations and legislation that Mahi Haumaru is responsible for. A core part of the role is to ensure there is a clear work programme and plan that is aligned to our regulatory strategy, organisational priorities, and priorities of the operations group to ensure the limited resources are focused on the things that will have the greatest impact.
To ensure the quality of operational delivery, the team will also provide internal assurance activities supporting the first and second line of defence in a manner that drives continuous improvement of our core regulatory activities.

Salary range
As part of our remuneration framework the full salary range for the position is from $149,661 to $197,801. Note: Kiwi Saver/SSRSS employer contribution is additional to/on top of your base salary.
