We are actively looking for an experienced unisex hair stylist/ barber for our saloon located in the hart of of city in Huntly, in New Zealand.
Work hours:
Minimum 30 hours per week -Full time permanent position
we required an experience barber for men or unisex
to work in a popular store located in Huntly. Great opportunity’s to work with a friendly team in a busy store.
Minimum 30 hours per week pay rate $29.66 to $32 per hour.
Candidate requirements
Minimum 3 years of work experience in men’s haircut & styling in barber shop or relevant level 4 or 5 qualification holding a diploma in related job will be an advantage.
2. Flexibility to work 6 days a week.
3. Willing to work in weekends.
4. Be able to work in a team and take direction from Management.
5. Have good interpersonal and communicative skills.
6. Have a can do attitude and good work ethic.
7. A NZ Citizen/ Resident or hold a valid NZ work visa.
8. Maybe subject to police and drug test.
Job description.
Welcoming clients and consulting with them on their desired hairstyles.

• Cutting and trimming hair according to clients' instructions.
• Styling hair using styling tools and products."Shaving, trimming and shaping clients' beards and moustaches.
• Washing and conditioning clients' hair.
• Ensuring that combs, scissors, razors, and other instruments are cleaned and sanitized after each use.
• Supervising apprentices and trainees.
• Providing hairstyle suggestions to clients.
• Sound knowledge of current hairstyles and trends.
• The ability to follow instructions.
• The ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
