About the Role:
A rare opportunity to join Ravensdown as a Lime Quarry Manager has opened at Dipton Lime Quarry in Dipton. The role is supported by a team within the quarry network of sites and wider Ravensdown team countrywide. As a Quarry Manager your main responsibility is to lead the team while efficiently managing the quarry and lime resource.
Enjoy the benefits of a recent electrical upgrade with an automation package, to assist with the responsibility for ensuring an efficient operation of the processing plant and its machinery, to enable production of high-quality lime. A typical day will encompass everything from production, preparing for blasting, maintaining company assets, through to customer service, and staff development.
You will be driven by high health, safety, environmental and quality standards. Competently managing hazard, risks and ensure the site is fully compliant in all safety & environmental areas.

About You:
We are looking for an experienced leader to lead a team of 3, with additional contractors based on-site. You will thrive on variety in your day; building strong links with customers, local iwi and enjoy the hands-on nature of working in a Quarry.
Driven and decisive, you'll also possess proven operational, organisational and planning skills and welcome the ongoing development of technology to improve efficiencies in production.

Ideal Skills & Experience:

• B Grade Quarry Managers COC (and be willing to work towards an A grade)
• Understanding of Quarry Operations and Processes
• Experience in fixed and mobile plant operation
• A Full NZ Drivers Licence
• Understanding of and experience in workplace Health & Safety requirements (incident reporting, compliance, SOPs, audits etc)
• Financial management experience including forecasting

Given the work environment and nature of the role, it's essential you're physically fit, mechanically minded and have experience in operating the heavy machinery onsite.
