The Gore Library department is looking for a new member to join their amazing team. You will be responsible for shelving and back-room tasks. You will be a team player and assist in maintaining the Gore District Council Library.
About the role
We are looking for reliable and motivated individuals who will be responsible for general Library works, Back-room tasks and Shelving, making sure library are tidy and well looked after. This is a casual role with varied, physical roles upkeeping our local community, where you will be a highly valued team member.
About You

• To tidily and efficiently shelve returned items, provide support for a variety of library functions, and be a responsible team member.
• Shelve library items in correct order, i.e. non-fiction in Dewey order and fiction in alphabetical order.
• Ensure shelving areas are in tidy order.
• Care of resources, including preparing new books.
• Assist customers with printing, photocopying, scanning and basic library front desk functions.
• Other tasks as delegated.
• Books are shelved as shelf-ready standard.
• Assisting the team in maintaining library space.
• Keeping the library space tidy and clean, free of any rubbish, chairs pushed
• Customers are assisted with printing, photocopying, scanning.
• Items are issued, returned and renewed correctly.
