We are looking for a HR Business Partner with energy, drive and a genuine passion for partnering with senior leaders to build strong relationships and foster trust.
As one of our Strategic Business Partners you will collaborate with senior leaders to align the People Strategy with business plans and ensure a positive people experience for our people leaders and employees.
You will be the go-to person for our senior leaders, providing guidance and support on all people-related matters and supporting them in developing, and empowering our people to perform at their best.
You'll take a risk management approach and be a skilled coach. So the right person for this role will have developed strong ER skills and is comfortable coaching senior leaders, even through difficult conversations.

Perfect for an experienced HR Business Partner with exceptional generalist HR and ER experience, keen for a new challenge in an organisation that genuinely cares about it's people and their community. If you enjoy partnering with Senior Leaders in a complex environment and across diverse work-groups to make a positive impact, then this role could be for you.
Reporting to the Manager, Business Partnering and working closely with Senior HR Advisors and People Experience teams, you will be able to:

• Build strong relationships with leaders across your portfolio
• Collaborate with senior leaders to align their business plans with the People Strategy to achieve results
• Partner with leaders on a broad range of people issues, while focussing on developing, and empowering our people to perform at their best.
• Take the lead on complex employment relations issues (e.g. misconduct, performance, sick leave and change management)
• Mentor and coach others to build the capability of leaders and support the development of the wider People Operations team

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Experience working at a Strategic HR Business Partner level, ideally across a wide range of organisations including the public sector
• ability to quickly build strong, trusted relationships with senior leaders and will have high levels of adaptability and resilience
• ability to influence and effectively engage with stakeholders across a wide range of professional disciplines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven capability to develop sound solutions to complex issues.
• Experience of managing complex ER issues with a sound knowledge of employment legislation
• A commitment to honouring our responsibility to Māori and building your own Māori capability (even if you're right at the beginning of that journey)

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The appointing salary for this role will be between $110,766 and $143,388 based on skills and experience.
