Mō te tūnga | About the role

We are looking for our newest members of our Police recruiting family to join our team recruiting a variety of roles for Police across New Zealand.

These positions are for 6 months Fixed Term or if you are an internal employee, an opportunity for an assignment into Recruitment.

Priority will be given to applicants experienced in recruitment and HR coordination, but customer service, attention to detail, effective workload management and pride in what you do are the key traits we’re looking for.

Our recruitment team work in a fast paced and high-volume environment, where attention to the smallest details, observation, and adherence to one of the most robust recruitment processes in NZ is paramount.

As a Recruitment Coordinator you will be the first point of contact for our applicants, and as such you will be able to build rapport, communicate our standards and process, and problem solve any initial questions an applicant has.

This is a highly varied position - you'll spend time with Police in district 'getting to know the business' initially and in an ongoing capacity, so you will be required be able to articulate and present yourself well, to a highly varied group of sworn and non-sworn stakeholders. You will have the skills to initiate phone conversations, screen applicants, support with assessment activities, and accurately keep our records up to date.

You will utilise a range of technologies to manage key phases of the recruitment process and deliver high-quality outcomes. A high grade of computer literacy is essential. You will jump between screens, and databases, and be able to pull data and have sound all-round administrative skills.

Utu ā-tau | Salary

This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $63,526 and $66,312 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
