At Te Kura Mātai Kori Tinana | Department of Exercise Sciences we seek to understand the role of exercise in sustaining health, improving disease outcomes, and enhancing human performance through physical activity and sport.

Job Description
Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
We are seeking a Tutor in the Department of Exercise Sciences to contribute to effective and inspiring teaching and learning experiences for students along with providing high-quality services to our Health and Rehabilitation Clinic clients.
The Health and Rehabilitation Clinic provides expert guidance to help prevent or manage chronic health conditions, such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and cancer. Our purpose-built facility, which is located on the University of Auckland’s Newmarket Campus, offers state-of-the-art equipment. The position will suit someone wishing to join a small, passionate, and dedicated team who have a positive impact on the daily experiences of students and clients in the Health and Rehabilitation Clinic.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Postgraduate degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology.
- An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Exercise Sciences or equivalent.
- Practitioner experience in a clinical setting.
Remuneration: $78,695 - $ 87,773

We are New Zealand’s leading academic programme in Exercise Sciences. Our teaching and research seek to understand how physical activity changes the human body when it is growing, performing incredible physical feats, ageing or at risk of disease. The Department of Exercise Sciences brings together physiotherapy, exercise physiology, biomechanics, movement neuroscience, and exercise and sport psychology to investigate the role of exercise and physical activity in sustaining health, improving disease outcomes, and enhancing human performance.
