Unreal Engine Developer (Readyverse Studios)

Readyverse Studios is dedicated to transforming the vision of the open metaverse depicted in Cline’s Ready Player One novel and its blockbuster film adaptation into a reality; a multi-world, multi-IP, interoperable open metaverse experience for mass consumers.
The studio holds an exclusive IP license from Warner Bros. Discovery to bring the Ready Player One franchise to the metaverse, with additional brands and franchises set to join The Readyverse soon.
Readyverse Studios will launch “The Readyverse,” a next-gen immersive and interoperable launcher designed for discovering metaverse games and experiences that integrate web3 and AI-generated content (AIGC) technologies. This platform empowers users, developers, and brands to create interconnected experiences.
The Readyverse will uphold the principles of the open metaverse, including provable digital ownership, community-owned infrastructure, decentralization, security, and interoperability. It will be built utilizing Futureverse’s extensive technology platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop on the Unreal Engine Gaming Platform for purpose of creating real time simulation.
- Provide assistance in project planning for simulation gaming code development.
- Use blueprints to create interactivity, animations and configurations for gamers and immersive experiences.
- Collaborate with Game Designers and the Creative team to create engaging experiences.
- Optimize game performance and resolve technical issues.
- Implement gameplay features, optimize performance, and ensure the technical quality of our latest game / experiences.
- Communicate project update status to stakeholders and escalate issues as necessary.
- 5+ years of proven work experience in developing real-time 3D applications in Unreal Engine.
- Working knowledge of the content creation tools and processes involved in real-time 3D asset production.
- Experience of using Blueprints and/or C++ in Unreal Engine.
- Experience of using version control solutions and agile design principles.
- Experienced in game development, 3D graphics, and tools development.
- Experience profiling and optimizing game performance.
- Solid background in rendering with experience in shaders, geometry processing, and lighting.
- Familiarity with game art and game design is a plus.
- Strong understanding of game development principles and best practices.
- Experienced in agile and rapid prototyping of concepts.
- Knowledge of software development and engineering processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical. concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Interest in web3 and the open metaverse.
