An exciting opportunity has arisen at our Hawkes Bay Vineyard for a permanent Vineyard Operator with vineyard experience.
We are seeking a positive, experienced, and self-motivated individual to join our established viticulture team. This role isn’t just about traditional vineyard tasks; you will also get to work with cutting-edge robotic tractors!

Your unique contribution
This is a varied role, you will be required to work on any of our Hawkes Bay vineyards and be actively involved in all aspects of vineyard work from operating various types of vine management activities, use of LUVs and tractors and tractor mounted implements, irrigation installation and maintenance, grape marc spreading and hand harvesting as required.

  • Carrying out day to day vineyard tasks safely and efficiently using viticultural best practice
  • Set up, operate, and maintain vineyard machinery and equipment to a high standard
  • Actively participate in improving operational effectiveness
Your perfect blend of Talent
As well as having an impressive blend of entrepreneurial spirit, mutual trust, and ethical commitment, you will also bring:
Preferred:
  • Intermediate vineyard experience (1-3years)
  • High level of understanding of viticultural practices
  • Intermediate skill level operating vineyard equipment and machinery
  • Ability to work additional hours from time to time, particularly during the Vintage period.
Essential:
  • Good levels of fitness due to physical nature of role
  • High standards of work, flexibility, and ability to build strong relationships
  • Full Drivers Licence
