Pernod Ricard Winemakers New Zealand have positions available for Cellar Hands to play an important part in carrying out the physical aspects of making wine during harvest (vintage). This is an excellent opportunity to gain Vintage experience in an industry leading company and meet awesome people along the way!

Don’t think you can do the job?! You will be surprised; all it takes is the attributes below:

Have a good level of strength and fitness (e.g. ability to lift heavy loads)
Communication skills in English
To demonstrate a safety mindset.
To be hard working
A team player with a good sense of humour
A can-do attitude
Plenty of enthusiasm
MUST have the ability to legally work within New Zealand until May/June 2025

Winery experience is not required but it will be a bonus! - you will be fully trained for the role – the skills you learn will be transferable to other industries!

The harvest period is expected to begin around February/March 2025, with the length dependent on harvest conditions (usually 5-8 weeks). This role is a fixed-term position helping with processing of grapes and wine products and will end once the workload drops.

These role includes shift-work to cover our 24-hour operations. During peak harvest period shifts can be up to 12 hours, six days a week.

Please note our Marlborough winery is smoke and vape free.
