Hilti New Zealand is seeking a highly skilled and organised Warehouse Specialist to join our Logistics team in Auckland. WHAT DOES THE ROLE INVOLVE?
The Warehouse Specialist role with Hilti New Zealand is an excellent step-up opportunity for candidates with a background in Logistics Coordination or Dispatch Operations. Reporting to the Head of Operations – Logistics, you will be a valued and an integral part of a close-knit team at our Head Office in Ellerslie with frequent travel to our Auckland sites and 3PL warehouse.

Reporting to the Head of Operations – Logistics, you will be a valued and an integral part of a close-knit team at our Head Office in Ellerslie with frequent travel to our Auckland sites and 3PL warehouse.
Key duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in development of our overall physical logistics strategy, aligning it with customer expectations and execution through all our logistics partners
- Plan, direct and manage the 3PL to ensure timely flow of orders, product receipt, dispatch and good housekeeping controls
- Lead the Warehouse operations – drive daily/weekly operations meetings through Shopfloor meetings
- Managing Inventory in the warehouse by conducting regular stock audits with a goal to reduce shrinkage
- Managing the Hilti Internal controls process by ensuring compliance is followed in all aspects of warehouse operations
- Improve overall on-time in-full qualitative dispatch of orders, review accuracy and cost effectiveness of warehouse performance
- Handle and resolve all complaint escalations (customers and internal)
- Supporting negotiations with 3PL Warehouse providers as required

WHAT YOU NEED IS:
As the ideal candidate, you will prefer to leverage the Lean mindset in every action, project, initiative and decision. You will strive to bring continual improvements in both cost and service to enhance our end-customer experience.
Some of the key requisites that will help achieve success in this role are:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Warehouse and Logistics Operations; preferably in a fast-paced FMCG environment
- Previous experience in management of 3PL partners is highly desirable, but not mandatory
- A Bachelor’s degree is required for this role
- Ability to ensure adherence to corporate work Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Good computer literacy and experience with Warehouse management systems(WMS); SAP experience will be beneficial
- Advanced reporting skills with Microsoft excel, and knowledge of Business Intelligence systems
- Positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills to manage and facilitate cross departmental collaboration and projects
