The Higgins Green Team in Tamaki Makaurau have an awesome opportunity for an experienced Workshop Manager to lead the team at our East Tamaki workshop. You will be a proven leader with experience managing a team that specialise in the maintenance and repair of heavy plant, equipment and trucks.
You will be leading a team of approx. 9 staff and will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the workshop including pricing, procurement, maintaining supplier relationships, workload management and forecasting.

What you’ll bring to the role:
- Ideally you will have a inimum of 10 years experience as a Workshop Manager or Foreperson in the civil roading industry
- Proven experience in repair and maintenance of heavy vehicles and equipment
- Qualified Diesel mechanic with hands on experience
- Ability to plan, prioritise and schedule work including coordinating any plant breakdown/issues that may arise on site
- Proven experience leading a team of apprentices and mechanics
- Ability to build robust and effective relationships with key stakeholders including Higgins external suppliers
- Excellent communication skills – you will be the go-to person for all workshop related queries both internally and externally
