Mechanical Engineer

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
Proficiency in CAD software, finite element analysis (FEA), and other engineering tools. Experience with rotating equipment, pipelines, and pressure vessels is highly desirable.
Must be a member of Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria(COREN)
Strong understanding of industry standards (e.g., ASME, API), safety regulations, and environmental compliance in the oil and gas sector.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with professionals across various departments.
Responsibilities:
Develop and design mechanical systems, components, and equipment used in oil and gas production, refining, and transportation processes.
Perform detailed analysis of mechanical systems, including stress analysis, failure analysis, and thermal analysis, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Lead and support the maintenance of mechanical systems, diagnosing issues, and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
Manage mechanical engineering projects from conception through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Ensure all mechanical engineering work complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines, particularly those specific to the oil and gas industry.
Work closely with other engineering disciplines, operations, and management teams to integrate mechanical systems with overall project requirements.
Prepare detailed engineering reports, specifications, and technical documentation to support project development, implementation, and maintenance.
Continuously seek out and implement innovative solutions to improve mechanical systems, reduce costs, and enhance safety in oil and gas operations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₦350,000.00 - ₦400,000.00 per month
