As an Operations Manager in our dynamic event management company, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the successful planning, execution, and delivery of events. This role requires exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills to manage all logistical and operational aspects of events. You will collaborate closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure each event runs smoothly, adheres to client expectations, and stays within budget and timelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the planning and execution of various types of events, including corporate events, weddings, festivals, conferences, and exhibitions.
Manage all aspects of event operations including site selection, vendor coordination, logistics, scheduling, and on-site management.
Ensure adherence to the event plan, timelines, and budgets, adjusting as necessary to meet client goals.
Oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.
Lead and manage the operations team, assigning tasks, setting expectations, and providing guidance to ensure event success.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and client services, to ensure cohesive event execution.
Manage event staff, including recruitment, training, and on-site supervision of temporary or contracted staff.
Identify and secure reliable vendors and suppliers
Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors, ensuring high-quality service delivery and cost efficiency.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and partners for future events.
Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the planning and execution process, addressing any concerns or requests.
Oversee the logistical elements of events, including transportation, equipment, and inventory management.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Business Administration, Hospitality, or related field.
Experience:** Minimum of 5 years of experience in event operations, preferably in a leadership role within an event management or hospitality company.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, vendors, and teams.
Proven experience in project management and event planning.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
Familiarity with event management software and project management tools.
Problem-solving mindset and ability to think on your feet.
