Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Communications/Press Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in media relations, content creation, and strategic communication. You will play a crucial role in shaping and promoting the Ufarm X brand, securing media coverage, and managing our public relations efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Media Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers in the agricultural and technology sectors.
- Press Releases: Write, edit, and distribute press releases that effectively communicate Ufarm X's initiatives, achievements, and news to the media.
- Content Creation: Create high-quality content, including contributed articles, bylines, and interview briefs, that showcase Ufarm X's expertise and thought leadership.
- Pitching: Craft and deliver compelling pitches to secure media coverage. Candidates must provide an example of a successful pitch that was previously placed.
- Media Coverage: Track, analyze, and report on media coverage. Provide links to recent (2024) coverage that you have secured.
- Communication Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy to enhance Ufarm X's brand visibility and reputation.
- Crisis Management: Handle any media inquiries or issues that arise, ensuring that Ufarm X's messaging remains consistent and positive.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in communications, public relations, or a related field.
- Writing Portfolio: Candidates must provide a writing portfolio that includes press releases, contributed articles/bylines, and interview briefs.
- Media Relations: Proven track record of securing media coverage, with examples of recent (2024) placements.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in French is preferred but not mandatory.
- Remote Work: Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote work environment.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strategic Thinker: Ability to develop and implement effective communication strategies that align with business goals.
