Location: Abuja, Nigeria

We are seeking an experienced, visionary, and inspiring School Principal to lead our prestigious institution. Our school offers a dynamic blend of British and Nigerian curricula, striving to foster academic excellence, creativity, and holistic development in our students. This role is based in Abuja, Nigeria.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Vision
- Develop and implement strategic plans in alignment with the school’s mission and values.
- Lead the school community in a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement.
- Ensure the integration of the British and Nigerian curricula to provide an exceptional, blended educational experience.
Academic Excellence & Curriculum Oversight
- Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of a high-quality curriculum that supports personalized learning.
- Collaborate with academic teams to enhance teaching standards and ensure a rigorous academic experience.
- Facilitate professional development programs to support staff in innovative, student-centered teaching methodologies.
Operational Management & Compliance
- Maintain efficient and effective school operations, ensuring compliance with all relevant educational regulations and standards.
- Develop policies that align with the school’s ethos and promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
- Oversee the effective use of school resources and budget allocation, focusing on sustainable development and growth.
Community & Stakeholder Engagement
- Foster positive relationships with parents, community leaders, and external stakeholders to create an engaged school community.
- Represent the school in external events, strengthening the school’s reputation and partnerships within Abuja and beyond.
- Address parent and community concerns professionally, promoting an open-door policy and proactive communication.
Staff Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and support staff to encourage professional growth and create a motivated, dedicated team.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to promote a culture of accountability and achievement.
- Work collaboratively with HR to recruit, retain, and develop top teaching talent.
Student Well-being & Development
- Champion student well-being, advocating for an environment that supports mental, social, and physical health.
- Oversee student behavior and discipline, ensuring a fair, consistent approach aligned with school policies.
- Encourage co-curricular activities that support holistic student development in arts, sports, and community service.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field; Master’s Degree is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a Principal or Head of School in an institution aligned with the British/Nigerian curricula.
Location: Must be currently residing in Abuja, Nigeria.
Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated knowledge of British and Nigerian curricula with a strong track record of raising academic standards.
