JOB TITLE: Senior Accountant
LOCATION Lagos, Nigeria Salary: #1,000,000 Monthly
ABOUT CLIENT: The Future Edge is a global consulting and business support solution company. We are seeking ‘Senior Accountant’ for our client; a leading industrial manufacturing company.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP or IFRS.
-General Ledger Management: Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis.
-Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, monitoring actual performance against budget.
-Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
-Audit Coordination: Support internal and external audit processes, providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
-Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
-Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
-Team Leadership: Mentor and train junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
-Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial policies and regulatory requirements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
-Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience required-Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
-Professional certification/ Membership is an advantage
-Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.-Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
-Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
