Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Software Tester to join our Quality Assurance (QA) team. As a Software Tester, you will be responsible for designing and executing test cases, identifying bugs, and ensuring the quality and performance of our software products. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that our solutions meet the highest standards before release.
Key Responsibilities

• Test Planning & Case Development:
• Collaborate with product managers and developers to understand the scope and requirements of features.
• Design and develop comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure thorough coverage of functionality.
• Participate in design and requirements review meetings to offer feedback on potential risks and testability.
• Test Execution:
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing on web, mobile, and backend applications.
• Identify, log, and track defects, ensuring that all issues are clearly documented and communicated to the development team.
• Conduct retests and regression tests after bugs have been fixed to ensure functionality is working as expected.
• Automation Testing:
• Develop and execute automated test scripts where applicable using industry-standard tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
• Maintain and update automated test suites to ensure they cover all critical functionalities.
• Collaborate with the development team to integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Implementation of RPA tools like UI Vision RPA.
• Collaboration & Reporting:
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.
• Provide regular reports on test execution, defects, and overall quality of the software.
• Actively participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.
• Performance & Security Testing:
• Conduct performance testing to ensure applications can handle the required load and stress.
• Assist in security testing to identify and report vulnerabilities, ensuring the software complies with security best practices.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Continuously update and improve test procedures based on user feedback, bug reports, and product changes.
• Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in software testing, particularly automation.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience:
• 4+ years of experience in software testing (manual and/or automation).
• Experience with testing web and mobile applications across multiple browsers and devices.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and experience working in Scrum or Kanban environments.
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, JUnit) is a plus.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and Dev Ops practices.
• Exposure to AWS Resilience hub.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and tools.
• Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) and test management tools (e.g., Test Rail).
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman or Soap UI is a plus.
• Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Load Runner) is a bonus.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
