Key information
Duties and responsibilities
As an Engineer at VARD Interiors, you’ll be involved in all stages of shipbuilding projects—from planning and technical documentation to providing hands-on support during the production and outfitting phases. Key Responsibilities:
- Project Follow-up: Act as the engineering contact for assigned projects, ensuring technical execution and timely delivery.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and calculations to support project needs.
- Production Support: Attend inspections and client/class audits during the outfitting phase, ensuring adherence to technical and safety standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, production, and other teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Quality Control: Contribute to quality improvements and ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
Qualifications
We’re looking for an Engineer with a hands-on, problem-solving approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education & Experience: Relevant background in engineering or a technical discipline, with experience in shipbuilding or related industries. Specific experience in ship accommodation is a plus.
- Auto CAD & Documentation Skills: Proficiency in Auto CAD is essential, with experience in 3D tools considered an advantage. Strong technical documentation skills are critical.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with shipbuilding rules and regulations, particularly in relation to ship accommodation and outfitting processes, will be beneficial.
- ICT Proficiency:I Competence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), Outlook, Teams, and other relevant software.
- Language Skills: Strong written and spoken English is a must.
