Department Overview

A role with the responsibility of ensuring smooth network operation performing system administration tasks for an Operations Support System (OSS). Instrumental in ensuring OSS applications and services access and availability.

Job Description

Tasks:

• Installation, configuration and administration of virtual servers hosted in an OSS virtual platform.
  
• Investigate and resolve complex fault affecting the OSS, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement effective solutions as required.
  
• Monitor OSS platform availability.
  
• Administer users of applications and services.
  
• Administer remote access solutions.
  
• Document configuration changes for every OSS component.
  
• Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to evaluate and implement new OSS applications and services.
  
• Develop and maintain accurate and up to date documentation of configurations, processes and procedures for each and every application and service running within the OSS domain.
  
• Implement and enforce security best practices to protect OSS systems and data integrity.
  

Basic Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
  
• Demonstrated knowledge of principles regarding design, testing and maintenance of IT platforms, applications and services.
  
• Demonstrated knowledge of advanced administration of Microsoft Windows Server (including AD, WSUS and DNS) and linux commercial distributions.
  
• Demonstrated familiarity with VMware virtual environments configuration and administration.
  
• Familiarity with IP protocols
  
• Hands on experience with scripting and basic tools development (Powershell, Python or other).
  
• ITIL certification and/or experience is an advantage.

• This role requires making recommendations and decisions which will have influence on the OSS subsystem and network operations in general.
  
• This role requires contributions as an individual and a team member.
  
• Hybrid workplace model with at least three days a week in the office.
  

Eligibility to obtain a Norwegian security clearance. Among other requisites, being a Norwegian citizen or having continuously resided in Norway for the last 10 years is considered a mandatory requirement. Willingness to undergo NSM security vetting process.
