Mission
The main focus will be supporting our CCTV Marine & Naval Projects group with new system designs, updates of existing systems and providing technical support to the sales and manufacturing teams. The position in the first instance is to be part of a team, or act as Lead Project Engineer, for assigned projects. Additionally, assist with performing technical design reviews, and checks on the new designs to help ensure that the systems are delivered to specification, on time and to budget.
Challenges
As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Preparation of technical documentation for projects and proposals.
Ensure all projects conform to the system design requirements and include necessary supporting calculations e.g., storage and bandwidth requirements, Po E power budget, etc.
Provide technical support to engineers, project managers, sales and manufacturing.
Be a part of our team that strive to develop and improve our capabilities.
To understand and apply relevant design, regulatory and industry standards.
Skills
Experience of specifying and configuring IP CCTV Systems.
Proven relevant experience – understanding of electronic circuits, systems and associated testing equipment.
Troubleshooting and identifying issues with hardware devices and systems.
Keen technical and manufacturing background with good all-round awareness.
Abilities to work in team and to take initiatives independently.
Able to plan, prioritise and handle multiple tasks.
Desirable
Qualification in Electronic Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
Experience with Milestone XProtect / Digifort video management software.
Familiar with military surveillance systems and standards.
