Claxton are hiring a QHSE Advisor on a full time, permanent basis. Based at their facility in Stavanger, the QHSE Advisor will focus on the implementation and delivery of the segment QHSE strategy and ensure that the business QHSE objectives are achieved. They will support the management of all QHSE systems, processes, and policies, with the collective aim of a company-wide positive QHSE culture.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Evaluate the workplace environment and support the development of local and segment safety-management policies and procedures, in collaboration with all functions, that identify and define the safety responsibilities of all employees

Develop and implement organizational safety programs

Chair and drive local monthly QHSE meetings and ensure raised actions are reviewed, communicated and effectively closed out

Conduct risk assessment reviews to detect potential hazards and plan precautionary measures, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders

Perform day-to-day workplace inspections, report and record findings in Intelex and oversee that effective close-out is obtained

Conduct and host internal and external audits

Oversee that workplace tools and equipment meet industry standards and are installed properly, as defined by the relevant Occupational Health and Safety Laws and Regulations

Lead the investigation of non-conformances, hazards, near misses and incidents, to establish immediate and route causes, recommend corrective actions and present findings to relevant stakeholders

Review subcontractor and visitor requirements and associated risk assessments and oversee that they are complied with

Prepare QHSE documentation and statistical reports by collating data for analysis; summarise information and review trends

Present suggestions for changes/improvements and how to implement them (continuous improvements)

Use relevant QHSE tools and oversee that managers and other staff members understand how to drive QHSE improvements, leading to culture change

Oversee the implementation and maintenance of effective quality control measures

Understand current legislative requirements and keep up to date with changes to legislation, highlighting any concerns to the local management team and Segment Head of QHSE

Provide QHSE support to all functions as required, such as the development of quality and HSE plans and offshore visits

Requirements

Previous experience of Implementation of behavioural safety programmes; occupational health, mental health and quality improvement strategies

Previous experience in Oilfield equipment and services

Minimum 3 years QHSE/Operational role in an oil and gas services company

Previous Audit Experience

Working knowledge of QHSE management systems and current legislation & best practice

Previous experience in coaching and mentoring staff

Experience dealing with government agencies and legislative bodies

Excellent “customer” facing skills e.g., influencing, negotiation and problem solving
