Senior QHSER Engineer, Offshore

Our customer is Norway AS is a leading supplier of power, telecommunications, installation and heating cables in Norway, and is among the world's leaders in offshore control cables and high-voltage submarine cable systems.
The Turnkey and Offshore Project section is responsible for execution of projects within the business group
The Project team is spread between several locations – and will also support execution activities ongoing in other plants and sites within the G&T business group
The Job Description, or parts of it, may be used for temporary roles in specific projects.
Manage the required QHSER activities for project by preparing and communicating the relevant Project Plans and Procedures from project Start-up to Close Out within the defined areas.

Manage the required QHSER activities for project by preparing and communicating the relevant Project Plans and Procedures from project Start-up to Close Out within the defined areas.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of QHSER in project execution and during Tender phase when required.
- Manage and assure that Nexans’ Management system and procedures and Client’s requirements and expectations are met.
- Ensure that the project team is knowledgeable about and compliant to G&T Management systems and tools.
- Assist in Continuous Improvement development of the organization with regards to QHSER activities.
Qualifications:
- Manage the client QHSER requirements and interfaces
- Manage & distribute KPI’s related to QHSER as specific to the Project
- Review, comment and approve the Project QSHER documents
- Contribute to required reporting towards the project and the Client
- In tender, analyse the QHSER demands and give input to the Tender Manager
- Participate in department/company work such as:
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Take personal responsibility for own HSE in all involved activities.
- Have zero tolerance for poor HSE standards, and intervene to stop unsafe work.
- Act like a HSE role model for others.
- Based on the project Scope of work/contract requirements /project complexity, the QHSER Manager can fulfill one or more of the below described roles.
- Establish Risk Management Plan to define the required risk management activities for the project.
- Strong ability and willingness to lead other team members in QHSER tasks.
- Fully Self-going on basic tasks within QHSER discipline. Typically as Project QHSER manager in turnkey projects / EPCI projects.
- Strong overall understanding of all QHSER discipline areas or specialist level within one discpline (Quality, Health & Safety, Environment, Risk).
- Strong ability and willingness to train / assist others on key tasks (tools, software) within QHSER discipline area.
Work Experience:
- Typically 10-12 years experience as QA-, HSE- and/or Risk Manager from manufacturing, installation or offshore.
- Able to act as Project Q/HS/E/R Lead and discipline responsible.
- Skilled in Project Management and methods Understanding of Project driven organizations and requirements.
- Knowledge of industrial processes – as cable manufacturing, relevant industry and/or marine and land installation works.
Education:
- Adequate Training and certification in QHSE and Risk Management.
- University degree MSc, MBA, BSc or similar, preferably in engineering- or QHSER discipline. Fluent in English, verbal and written
