About the position
A 9-month position as a Researcher is available in the Project Group of Dr. Marina Vietri at the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology, Institute for Cancer Research, Oslo University Hospital.

Work Assignment
The successful candidate will lead a project focused on studying membrane dynamics in tumorigenesis, while also collaborating on several other research studies. The main project will explore the relationship between nuclear envelope dynamics and the DNA damage response in both transformed and non-transformed cell lines. Advanced cell-imaging techniques will be critical, including live-cell imaging, confocal microscopy, super-resolution microscopy, and sample preparation for electron microscopy.
We are seeking a dedicated individual who can work independently and as part of a team.
Necessary qualifications
  • The candidate must have completed a Ph D degree in molecular and cellular biology.
  • Strong experience in advanced cell-imaging techniques.
  • Strong skills in image analysis (NIS element AR software, FIJI).
  • Strong experience in cell culture.
  • Strong experience in immunoassays.
  • Experience in cloning techniques.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in the fields of DNA damage response/ chromatin biology/ cellular membranes biology/ and cell division.
  • Experience in generating stable expression cell lines (transduction with lentivirus or similar).

  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Good English written and verbal communication skills are required.
