We are seeking an experienced Telecom Engineer to join our team for offshore project studies and execution.

Responsibilities:

• Performing study work and estimation.
• Produce new documentation and drawings such as telecom block diagrams, loop diagrams and plot plans.
• Revise existing documentation and drawings.
• Produce work package for installation.
• Discipline check and approval of produced documents and drawings in the project.
• Order all telecom materials(bulk/equipment) needed for offshore installation.
• Knowledge of general interfaces to instrumentation/electrical/automation.
• Need to understand drawings from different disciplines.
• Discussions with client and vendor representatives in order to find optimal technical solutions.

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with industry standards like NPD, ATEX, IEC61892, and NORSOK.
• Proficiency with telecommunication systems, including cables, fiber optics, LAN, WAN, and TMS.
• Understanding of PA systems, emergency power (battery) systems, and CCTV systems.
• Competence in ICT security and network topology design.
• Knowledge in instrument and electrical equipment specific to the oil and gas industry.
• Familiarity with engineering tools such as STIDtag, STIDdoc, and STIDloop.
• Proficiency with document management systems like Pro Arc and PIMS.
• Familiarity with Equinor TRs related to Telecom.

Work Experience:

• 5 to 7 years of experience within offshore related projects and studies.
• Experience with modifications to offshore installations during active operations.

Education:

• Master or bachelor degree in telecommunications

Required Certificates:

• Basic EX course, 8 hours online or 22,5 hours in classroom.
• FSE high and low voltage with first aid.
• Must have valid Norwegian offshore- and health certificates.
