Senior Telecom Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Performing study work and estimation.
- Produce new documentation and drawings such as telecom block diagrams, loop diagrams and plot plans.
- Revise existing documentation and drawings.
- Produce work package for installation.
- Discipline check and approval of produced documents and drawings in the project.
- Order all telecom materials(bulk/equipment) needed for offshore installation.
- Knowledge of general interfaces to instrumentation/electrical/automation.
- Need to understand drawings from different disciplines.
- Discussions with client and vendor representatives in order to find optimal technical solutions.
- Familiarity with industry standards like NPD, ATEX, IEC61892, and NORSOK.
- Proficiency with telecommunication systems, including cables, fiber optics, LAN, WAN, and TMS.
- Understanding of PA systems, emergency power (battery) systems, and CCTV systems.
- Competence in ICT security and network topology design.
- Knowledge in instrument and electrical equipment specific to the oil and gas industry.
- Familiarity with engineering tools such as STIDtag, STIDdoc, and STIDloop.
- Proficiency with document management systems like Pro Arc and PIMS.
- Familiarity with Equinor TRs related to Telecom.
- 5 to 7 years of experience within offshore related projects and studies.
- Experience with modifications to offshore installations during active operations.
- Master or bachelor degree in telecommunications
- Basic EX course, 8 hours online or 22,5 hours in classroom.
- FSE high and low voltage with first aid.
- Must have valid Norwegian offshore- and health certificates.
