Joining our team Electro, Instrument and Telecom (EIT) department offers you a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in our industry's most remarkable engineering projects. From massive and complex oil and gas EPC(I) topside projects like Valhall PWP and Hugin A/B, to FPSOs such as Johan Castberg. Other revolutionary engineering endeavors are within Hydropower and large-scale, deep-ocean fish farming. What will you be doing?
- Preparing telecom basis of design, control, and protection philosophy, as well as black start philosophy and power management system specification and interface with ICS
- Coordinating telecom design and its interface with other disciplines
- Participating in studies and concept development
- Providing technical support to construction and commissioning
- Ensuring the expectations towards HMS and quality are fulfilled
- Driving our project execution model to meet/exceed the requirements in the project
- Developing a strong communication network with the client, vendors and internal stakeholders
We think you should have:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Telecommunication or another relevant subject
- 5-10 years’ relevant experience from project work and preferable experience from oil and gas/ renewable projects
- Robust skills within telecommunication systems such as PAGA, Telephone System, Data Networks, Radio Link, UHF Radio, CCTV, Telecom Power Supply, GMDSS, VHF and
- Strong knowledge of typical engineering tools, input and use of technical registers
- Experience with telecom package preparation, handling, and follow-up
