GE Vingmed Ultrasound A/S, part of GE Health Care, is a world leader in medical ultrasound imaging with main offices in Horten and satellite offices in Oslo and Trondheim, Norway. Our Vivid echocardiography product line helps diagnose over 300,000 patients daily.

We are seeking a Senior Ultrasound Systems Engineer to strengthen our R&D team. You will join a global team of highly motivated expert engineers, focusing on front-end hardware integration, acoustic and physics modeling, software beamforming, and real-time ultrasound processing. Your expertise will contribute to high-quality images for patient diagnosis and treatment. You’ll collaborate closely with clinicians, combining technical knowledge with clinical insights to enhance system performance.

Roles and Responsibilities

Qualification/Requirements

• Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Physics, Cybernetics, Electrical Engineering, Signal Processing, Medical Imaging or related discipline.
• Expertise in ultrasound technology, including physical models and signal processing.
• Proficiency in coding (e.g. Python, C++) for data analysis and algorithm development.
• Comfortable engaging with clinicians to fine-tune image quality.
• Demonstrated problem solving abilities.
