About the department
The Airborne Data Capture section operates our airborne sensors used for mapping and remote sensing. These sensors are installed either in airplanes or helicopters, and our operations span the globe, with Norway, Sweden, and Finland as primary markets. The aerial operations consist of skilled employees stationed at our headquarters in Oslo and the airport in Rakkestad and in the field.
Role Introduction
We are seeking a technical individual with insight and curiosity for technology and mapping. You must have the ability to troubleshoot, communicate with suppliers, and discuss solutions with technical teams in our organization. With a high number of projects across large geographical areas, we believe it is essential to have a head for logistics and the ability to balance detailed focus with a broader perspective. Your Responsibilities
- Operate airborne cameras and sensor systems
- Assist with QC and verifications of collected data
- Ensure that sensor systems are operating in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and internal procedures
- Collaborate with ATC and other organizations regarding flight permissions
- Plan and execute missions
- Install sensors in airborne platforms
- Contribute to project planning to ensure all necessary permits, visas, etc., are in place
- Monitor weather conditions to identify suitable opportunities for data collection
- Build the Field culture and actively use the company's values
- Work according to Field's defined principles of quality, health, and safety

Desired Qualifications:
- A degree in a Geomatics, Remote Sensing, Computer Science or Electronics
