Operation Supervisor

About the Section:
The Airborne Data Capture section operates our airborne sensors used for mapping and remote sensing. These sensors are installed either in airplanes or helicopters, and our operations span the globe, with Norway, Sweden, and Finland as primary markets. The aerial operations currently contribute approximately 150 million NOK to the revenue and consist of skilled employees stationed at our headquarters in Oslo and the airport in Rakkestad and in the field.
Introduction to the Role:
We are seeking an Operation Supervisor to join our flight operations management team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating flight operations for our project execution. This involves managing the deployment of flight crews, monitoring active projects, tracking progress of data collection, and ensuring equipment and operational requirements are met. You will also need to stay informed about the climatic conditions in our project areas, both short-term and long-term. Have the ability to communicate with Air Traffic Control (ATC) and an understanding of aviation or flight operations.

Your Responsibilities:
- Oversee crew assignments for multiple aircraft in operation.
- Ensure pilots and sensor operators are regularly updated on daily project priorities and flight plans.
- Stay in good contact with flight platform providers to stay on top of upcoming maintenance work and other possible restrictions
- Provide guidance on decision-making and project prioritization as needed.
- Be available for operational decisions early or late in the day, as well as during weekdays or weekends in the busy season.
- Participate in flight operations when necessary, including local missions or international assignments.
Who We Think You Are:
- Has strong leadership skills, is organized, and decisive
- Has solid knowledge of electronics and sensors
- Has experience in project management, logistics, and planning
- Has excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Norwegian and English
- You are decisive, structured, and determined with ability to handle high workloads
- You enjoy traveling and working in an international environment
- Has good general IT knowledge
- Experience in aviation/flight operations (preferred)
- Experience in GIS or earth sciences would be a plus.
- Must have Class B driver's license
- Experience in a similar position will be emphasized

Desired Qualifications:
- A degree in a Geomatics, Remote Sensing, Computer Science or Electronics
