Schibsted SMB is a Nordic leader within digital service marketplaces, focusing on home services and home improvement in particular. We have market-leading positions with Mittanbud.no in Norway and 3byggetilbud.dk in Denmark, as well as a #2 position with Servicefinder.se in Sweden. In 2022 we also launched Rempppatori.fi in Finland, using the newly developed Mittanbud platform. We are well on our way to having a shared platform in all Scandinavian countries, with a launch of the platform imminently in Sweden solidifying our position in the region.
Therefore, we are now looking for a forward-thinking and ambitious backend developer to join our team. The right candidate will be someone who focuses on quality with a test driven development mindset. Your tasks will range from planning and designing solutions to development, launch, maintenance and testing. Currently, we’re open for all levels who wish to develop both personally and professionally; but above all, you should be passionate about your field. Knowledge in PHP/object-oriented code is a strong advantage, along with an interest in other technologies like SQL, Elasticsearch, and Rabbit MQ.
As part of our IT department, your workdays will involve varied and challenging tasks. You’ll work with well-known, large brands like Mittanbud, 3Byggetilbud and Servicefinder. You’ll work closely with different teams in the IT department and become part of a dedicated, supportive environment.

1966

Schibsted acquires VG.

1996 - 1998

Schibsted buys Aftonbladet and Svenska Dagbladet, two of Sweden’s leading national quality newspapers.

2000

Finn.no is founded, today one of Norway's strongest brands.

2003

Blocket is acquired. Today the number one market place in Sweden.

2005

Schibsted Growth starts investing in various digital brands.

2006

The international expansion of Schibsted classified business is starting.

2019

Adevinta is listed at Oslo Børs. Schibsted’s international Marketplaces is spun off into a separate company.

2020 - 2021

Adevinta acquires 100% of e Bay Classifieds Group creating the worlds largest online classified company. As part of the agreement, Schibsted buys DBA.dk and bilbasen.dk

2024

Schibsted separated into two companies. The news media operations were sold to the Tinius Trust, creating two new companies – Schibsted Media and Schibsted Marketplaces.
