Assignment Description
To support the ongoing development drilling programs (rotary and coil tubing drilling) and to ensure sufficient strength for the Petrophysical function in the Norway BU.
The Petrophysicist is a critical resource both in well planning and in supporting drilling operations.

• Planning, execution, and post evaluation of producers and injectors drilled in the Greater Ekofisk Area
• Deliver petrophysical input to all milestones and deliverables identified in the Well Design and Delivery Process (WDDP)
• Organizing of MWD/LWD/wire line logging operations as part of the well planning process
• Ensure data acquisition objectives for logging, etc are met and optimised for future development operations
• Follow up of contractors in planning phase, operation and post-well evaluation phase
• Post well work including petrophysical data evaluation, final QC and CPI generation
• Follow up petrophysical data governance
• Operational duty during drilling
• Petrophysical support to to other Departments when required
• Support contractual work and relevant research projects when required
• Identify relevant new technology
• Petrophysical point of contact for the Asset teams
• Petrophysical operational support (duty)

Qualifications

• Master's Degree Petrophysics/Petroleum Engineering, Geology/Geophysics or Physics
• Basic petrophysical, well planning and reservoir characterization skills
• Ability to effectively interact with other team members and understand other disciplines
• Good communications and presentation skills
• Knowledge of chalk reservoirs
• Experience in logging technology, including log acquisition, processing, and interpretation
• Familiar with Techlog and Petrel
• Experience in technology development
• Innovative/ creative - ability to understand complex reservoirs and challenging petrophysical properties to ensure optimum reservoir management and unlock the full potential of these fields
• Takes Accountability - takes personal accountability for delivering on plans
• Communicates Effectively - Good communication skills and ability to influence others
