Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Back-end Developer/Quality Assurance Engineer to join our healthcare application development team. This dual role involves developing server-side logic, managing database structures, and ensuring the quality and reliability of our healthcare application using Laravel. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
Key Responsibilities:

• Server-side Development: Develop and maintain server-side logic using Laravel. Implement RESTful APIs and integrate them with front-end components.
• Database Management: Design and manage database schemas, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance using My SQL or Postgre SQL.
• API Integration: Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless communication between client and server. Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of the application, including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests. Identify and resolve bugs and performance issues.
• Compliance: Ensure the application meets healthcare industry standards and regulations, including HIPAA and GDPR. Implement security measures to protect sensitive healthcare data.
• Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize the application's performance, scalability, and reliability. Use performance profiling tools to identify bottlenecks and improve efficiency.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of code, development processes, and testing procedures. Ensure documentation is accessible and understandable to team members.

Technical Skills:

• Programming Languages: Proficiency in PHP.
• Frameworks: Strong knowledge of Laravel.
• Database Management: Experience with database management systems like My SQL or Postgre SQL. Understanding of SQL and No SQL databases.
• API Development: Expertise in developing and integrating RESTful APIs. Familiarity with Graph QL is a plus.
• Quality Assurance: Knowledge of testing frameworks and tools such as PHPUnit, Selenium, or JUnit. Experience with automated testing and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Security: Understanding of security best practices and ability to implement measures to protect against common vulnerabilities (e.g., SQL injection, XSS).

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Back-end Developer and Quality Assurance Engineer, with a focus on Laravel. Experience in developing healthcare applications is preferred.
• Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
