Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Bakery Chef with a passion for creating a wide range of delicious baked goods. The ideal candidate will specialize in the production of various types of bread, cupcakes, tea cakes, savoury snacks (puff pastries, patties), and croissants. This role involves crafting high-quality baked goods, maintaining inventory, and ensuring all products meet our high standards of taste, texture, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:

• Bread Making: Prepare and bake a variety of bread, including sourdough, baguettes, focaccia, multigrain, and other artisan varieties.
• Cupcakes & Tea Cakes: Create and decorate cupcakes and tea cakes with attention to flavor, texture, and design.
• Savory Snacks: Develop and produce a range of savory baked goods, such as puff pastries, patties, and other savory items.
• Croissant Production: Skillfully craft croissants, ensuring layers are perfectly laminated and baked to perfection.
• Menu Development: Collaborate with the culinary team to design and develop new and innovative baked products for the menu.
• Quality Control: Maintain high standards for the quality and consistency of all baked goods, ensuring each item meets taste, texture, and aesthetic standards.
• Hygiene and Cleanliness: Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage ingredients, baking supplies, and kitchen tools, ensuring adequate stock levels and timely ordering.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen and service teams to ensure timely production and delivery of baked goods
• Event Support: Assist in the preparation of baked goods for special events, catering, and large orders as required.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Bakery Chef or Pastry Chef, with expertise in bread, cupcakes, tea cakes, savory snacks, and croissants.
• Culinary degree or certification in baking and pastry arts is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and creativity.
• Strong understanding of flavor profiles, textures, and baking techniques.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Passion for baking and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
