Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Internal Auditor to lead our internal audit function. The Chief Internal Auditor will be responsible for ensuring the organization's internal controls, governance, and risk management processes are robust and effective. This role will oversee a team of internal auditors and work closely with senior management and the board to provide independent assessments and recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute an annual internal audit plan based on risk assessments and organizational priorities.
• Lead and manage a team of internal auditors, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
• Conduct audits of financial, operational, and compliance processes to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls.
• Review and assess the adequacy of internal policies and procedures and recommend improvements.
• Prepare audit reports and present findings and recommendations to senior management and the board of directors.
• Monitor and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations to ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to internal auditing.
• Foster a culture of compliance, integrity, and continuous improvement within the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree and/or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CIA) is preferred.
• Proven experience (10 years) in internal auditing, with at least 7-8 years in a senior management role.
• Strong understanding of internal control concepts, risk management principles, and corporate governance standards.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make sound judgments.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and experience managing a team of professionals.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
• Ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively across departments and levels of the organization.

Note: Experience in Real Estate is a must
