Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Estimator with strong expertise in earthwork, grading, and construction project estimation. The ideal candidate should be experienced in performing accurate takeoffs, reviewing construction drawings thoroughly, and ensuring quality assurance throughout the process. Proficiency in Plan Swift and Bluebeam is a must, along with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Takeoff:
• Accurately perform material takeoffs for construction projects.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge in earthwork and grading to produce precise estimates.
• Review Construction Drawings:
• Thoroughly review and analyze construction drawings and documents to ensure a comprehensive understanding of project specifications.
• Identify any discrepancies or potential issues in the plans.
• Quality Assurance:
• Ensure all estimates meet the company's quality standards.
• Work closely with the project management team to ensure that estimates are aligned with client requirements and project goals.
• Software Proficiency:
• Utilize Plan Swift and Bluebeam software for takeoffs, cost estimation, and project tracking.
• Maintain proficiency in other relevant software and tools as required by the project.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Technical Expertise:
• Proficient in Plan Swift and Bluebeam for performing takeoffs and reviewing plans.
• Strong knowledge of earthwork, grading, and general construction estimation practices.
• Ability to deeply analyze construction drawings and spot discrepancies or opportunities for improvement.
• Experience in Quality Assurance:
• Proven experience in ensuring the accuracy and quality of estimates.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments, managing multiple tasks under pressure.
• Attention to Detail:
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to provide accurate estimates based on thorough project analysis.
• Problem-Solving and Communication:
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to resolve estimation challenges quickly and efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in construction estimation, with a focus on earthwork and grading.
• Strong proficiency in Plan Swift and Bluebeam software.
• Experience working with General Contractors (GCs) in a fast-paced environment.
