Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced NVOCC Accountant to join our finance team.Responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.Strong analytical skills and knowledge of the logistics and shipping industry required.
Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in logistics or shipping.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple agents' detention receivables accurately and transparently.
• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R), ensuring financial accuracy and resolution of discrepancies.
• Generate accurate invoices, ensuring precision in quantities, rates, and charges.
• Proactively communicate with agents, addressing inquiries, sending reminders, and resolving queries.
• Reconcile agents' ledgers promptly.
• Prepare regular financial reports providing valuable insights for management decisions.
• Provide support during internal and external audits.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Prepare and maintain financial statements.
• Analyze financial data for trends and discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Process invoices, payments, and receivables.
• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Liaise with auditors for internal and external audits.
• Track and analyze costs related to shipping and logistics.
• Recommend cost-saving measures and efficiency improvements.
• Work with operations and logistics teams for accurate financial tracking.
• Communicate financial insights to management and stakeholders.
