Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance, configuration, and optimization of the company's IT infrastructure, including network, servers, and systems.
• Setup and maintain laptops and other devices for security measures.
• Manage cloud based systems/servers to ensure prevention of attacks.
• Implement and enforce security measures to protect company data and infrastructure from potential threats, and make changes to improve security.
• Provide technical expertise and support to resolve complex IT issues and challenges.
• Serve as an escalation point for technical issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to operations.
• Implement and maintain best practices for IT support, ensuring high levels of employee satisfaction.
• Monitor IT equipment and network performance on regular basis and address any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
• Lead the incident response process, including detection, triage, analysis, containment, recovery, and reporting of security incidents.
• Develop and deliver security awareness training programs to educate employees on cybersecurity best practices and emerging threats.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) and manage internal and external security audits.

Skills and Experience

• Must have a solid understanding of IT best practices, security principles, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Proven experience within an IT environment, preferably in a small team setting.
• Strong technical background with expertise in IT infrastructure, systems administration, and network management.
• Proven experience in conducting risk assessments and developing risk mitigation strategies.
• Experience in developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically to address complex IT challenges.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Comp TIA Security+.
• Hands-on experience with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), SIEM solutions, and endpoint protection platforms.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud security best practices and experience with cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Qualification

• Bachelor’s in Information Technology
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in IT security, network management, or a similar role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to lead and manage security projects, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
