Digitx Consulting is seeking a skilled Legal and Compliance Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in legal and compliance roles, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and tax filing processes for individuals and companies. This role is crucial in ensuring our adherence to legal standards and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Regulatory Compliance with SECP:
- Ensure compliance with SECP regulations
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company.
- Prepare and file necessary documents and reports with SECP
- Liaise with tax authorities to resolve any issues or queries.
2. Legal Advisory:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements.
3. Tax Filing:
- Manage and oversee the tax filing process for individuals and companies, including preparation and submission of tax returns.
- Ensure compliance with local and national tax laws and regulations.
- Liaise with tax authorities to resolve any issues or queries.
4. Documentation and Record-Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all legal and compliance-related documentation.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of corporate records, including company formation, changes, and annual returns.
5. Internal Controls and Risk Management:
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Identify and assess potential compliance risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
Qualifications:
- Education: degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. A professional certification in compliance or tax law is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a legal and compliance role, with a focus on regulatory compliance with SECP and tax filing with FBR
Must have Skills:
- Strong knowledge of SECP regulations and corporate compliance filing with Leap/services portal
- Proficiency in tax filing processes for individuals and companies.
- Excellent legal research and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
