OT Technician - D.I Khan, KPK

Normeca International AS is seeking a skilled and dedicated OT (Operating Theatre) Technician to join our team. This role is crucial in our mission to provide quality medical care to the rural areas of Pakistan. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in surgical procedures and providing post-operative care to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeons and medical staff during surgical procedures.
- Prepare and sterilize operating rooms and surgical instruments.
- Ensure all surgical equipment is functioning properly.
- Monitor and support patients before, during, and after surgery.
- Manage and maintain inventory of surgical supplies and equipment.
- Follow established protocols and guidelines to ensure patient safety and infection control.
- Provide post-operative care and monitoring of patients, including wound care and vital sign assessment.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Stay updated with advancements in surgical techniques and best practices.
- Assist in setting up and dismantling mobile medical units at various locations.
- Certification or degree in surgical technology or a related field from an accredited program.
- Proven experience as an OT Technician.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in emergency situations.
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach.
- Proficiency in English is an advantage.
- Willingness to work in non-standard conditions in rural areas.
