Think Well has a growing portfolio of projects in Pakistan. We are seeking a Research Intern. The intern will provide technical assistance and analytical and operational support to one or more projects in Pakistan. The Research Intern brings strong analytical skills, and research and communications capacity, the ability to effectively synthesize and visualize findings, translate messages for various audiences, and provide program coordination support.
This position is open to candidates based in all regions in Pakistan
Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting literature review processes and summarizing findings effectively.
- Identifying published data and reports from sources to support project analyses and maintaining knowledge of such resources.
- Extract insightful snippets from reports and policy briefs that translate complex research findings into digestible content for diverse stakeholders.
- Supporting basic qualitative and quantitative data analysis on various topics utilizing tools such as Excel.
- Develop infographics, videographic, and visual data representations to summarize research outcomes and support communication and dissemination strategies by utilization of tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere), Canva, Piktochart, Visme, and Adobe Spark.
- Developing primary data collection instruments for country research studies and maintaining Excel workbooks for data repository, cleaning, and analysis.
- Drafting or revising sections of donor reports and coordinating team member input.
- Supporting the development of compelling Power Point slide decks.
- Prepare communication material for workshops and seminars, ensuring clear communication tailored to various audience levels.
- Drafting correspondence for projects as requested and taking notes from meetings as well as notes from engagements such as technical reviews, client meetings, and project workshops.
- Assist in crafting messages and developing products for media/social media releases and public engagement, aligning with research themes and findings
- Assisting with various project administrative and operational responsibilities.
- Assisting with a range of project administrative and operational responsibilities, including but not limited to communications, organizing meetings and workshops, coordinating travel, and drafting donor correspondence.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.

- Minimum education: Undergraduate Degree in any discipline.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power Point required; Data visualization and communication-related techniques/skills are also required.

- Strong skills in social media management and content creation tailored for platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, and Linked In to enhance project visibility and engagement.
- A thoughtful systems thinker with a grounded, pragmatic understanding of the complexities of our work.
- Proficiency in creating infographics and visualizing data effectively using tools like Adobe Illustrator, Canva, or similar software to communicate complex information succinctly.
- Tech savvy and skilled at visual display of data.
- Experience in producing short videos, including recording, editing, and post-production, to support project dissemination and stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated poise and professionalism in engaging with external partners, donors, and stakeholders.
- Excellent fluency in English and Urdu; additional languages are a plus.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to relate respectfully with staff at all levels, ages, genders, nationalities, and orientations as well as across work areas.
